Instructor: Naureen McMillan, SPHR-CA
Naureen McMillan has more than 15 years of experience in human resources with expertise in management, employee relations, compensation, benefits, recruiting and selection. She has particular knowledge of conducting human resources compliance audits to determine risk exposure and improve processes. Ms. McMillan advises on a range of issues, including wage and hour, leaves of absence, sexual harassment and employee relations matters.
She has presented classes on the Basics of Wage and Hour Law, Human Resources Laws, and Leaves of Absence including FMLA, CFRA, PFL and PDL. These classes explained California law so managers understood their role in complying with these laws.
Ms. McMillan is a member of Professionals in Human Resources Association (PIHRA) and Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM), and previously served as Vice Chair of the California Bankers Association Group Insurance Plans Committee.
Prior to joining Poms & Associates, Ms. McMillan served as Manager of Human Resource Services at RSJ/Swenson LLC.
She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Stonehill College in Massachusetts.
